Spotlight on SPOT

Folks might not realize, but this Thursday's show in Wilson, NC isn't just a chance to see Bombadil play in a historic vaudeville theatre: it's also a chance to contribute to a great cause.

The show is a benefit for SPOT (Sharing Positive Outcomes Together), a Wilson-based organization dedicated to nourishing the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of children in eastern North Carolina.

The group offers all kinds of programs, including shinball:

And the hometown favorite, Wilsonball:

SPOT also offers other key services such as tutoring, summer camp, leadership development, and school dropout prevention.

These programs play a key role in the lives of many struggling kids—SPOT told us that its membership has shot up from 87 in 2010 to over 300 this year.

Coming Soon to a Vaudeville Theater in Wilson, NC

Our show at the Edna Earl Boykin Theater in Wilson, NC is just around the corner (April 26!): make sure to get your tickets.

This show will be extra rad for at least five reasons:

1. The show is a benefit for SPOT (Sharing Positive Outcomes Together), a Wilson-based youth development organization
2. The venue is a historic -- it was built in 1919 and served originally as a vaudeville house
3. It's the first time the band has performed in Daniel's hometown
   
4. It's on Bryan's birthday
   
5. We'll be debuting brand new, never-before-heard Bombadil songs

Here's what you can do to make the show extra rad:

1. Get your tickets!
2. Join the Facebook event
3. Invite your friends to the Facebook event
4. Put up posters around Wilson, Raleigh, or other parts of eastern NC (contact us for details)
5. Spread the word! Tweet, share on Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, Instagram, MyRhombus, or whatever it is the kids are using these days!
