Bombadil opens for CCD! Heading to Florida!

Howdy folks!

We've been enjoying spending much of March traveling in our fine Pine State. We played Carrboro, Winston-Salem, and Wilmington earlier this month, as well as Charlotte and Salisbury just this past weekend. Thanks to all that came out to see us at those shows. We'll round out our tour of NC with a show in Boone this week.

Then we shift our gaze to the horizon. We'll be heading to Tennessee and West Virginia, and then onward for a run of shows in Florida! We can't wait to get back down to the Sunshine State, so we hope to see you there. After that, we're off for a string of dates with Carolina Chocolate Drops! Get your tickets early, as these shows could sell out! More information about upcoming tour dates below.

Bombadil opens for Carolina Chocolate Drops! Cat's Cradle THIS Saturday!

Folks! BIG news!

First, our Cat's Cradle show is nigh upon us. We're playing this Saturday, March 2nd and will be backed by strings and horns. Bryan will be playing with us. We'll be playing some new songs and some old ones that we haven't played in a long time. Our good friend Christy Smith will be performing with her band the Tender Fruit before us. Magician Michael Casey will be keeping us entertained throughout the night. Buy your tickets here.

New Birthday for "Metrics of Affection" and Cat's Cradle Variety Show!

Heyo listeners of Bombadil! We wanted to let you all know that we are moving back the release date for our new album, Metrics of Affection. Its birthday is officially 7/23. There were a number of good reasons to do this, but we can tell you the record is done and we've handed it off to the good folks at Ramseur Records. We're sorry it won't be here for our March 2nd Cat's Cradle show, but we're very excited and anxious to share it with all of you!

We've planned a special night for March 2nd at Cat's Cradle in Carrboro, NC. It will be a variety show with songs from the Tender Fruit, magic from Magic Michael Casey, and a brass & string backing band for our set. We'll be playing new tunes and some old tunes we haven't done in a long time! New merchandise will be available, including a limited edition screen print poster by Subject Matter Studio. Get your tickets today!

We're heading out for our longest tour in a while, opening some shows for The Last Bison. Get your tickets in advance, because Washington DC is already SOLD OUT! Don't worry DC, we'll be back very soon. We promise!

We spent this past weekend demoing up some new songs, making videos, and putting the finishing touches on our record! The artwork is cool, but you can't see it just yet.

In other news, London's Heathrow Airport has pianos set up in the terminals for passengers to play. I played this one. No one requested Jellybean Wine, though.

Thanks to everyone for making this past tour a success. We had a great time at the Lincoln Theater seeing all the bombadiliers dressed up in holiday garb singing along to Mariah Carey. The holidays have begun.

Work on the new album is going swell and we will be announcing a special album release show very soon!
